See what customers think of our service
One of the first questions we often get asked is - How much will it cost? As our colleagues say in our northern office in Manchester “You don’t get owt for nowt” What they are saying basically is we’re proud of being able to offer competitive quality installations but remember comparing like for like is not always as simple as it seems. For instance our air conditioning units and air source heat pumps are sourced from companies such as Fujitsu, Mitsubishi and LG. Our technicians attend their training courses and we have built up a close working relationship with them, that’s the reason we are able to offer a full 5 year guarantee. So when comparing what appears to be like for like just remember the following, because it will save you money in the long run! Unbranded and unknown makes of heat pumps will always be cheaper than quality makes such as those we’ve mentioned, but will the manufacturer be around in five years time? One of the ways some companies try and save money on quotations is to offer smaller output heat pump units than is actually required. For instance they might quote for 3.5kw system for an application where in-fact a 5kw system is required to control temperature. You might think with a smaller cheaper unit you’re going to save on install and running costs. A properly rated system will turn on and off as required to control temperature, whilst an underrated unit will probably run at full capacity all the time costing you more in the long run. Does the quote including include everything? All are technicians have the appropriate electrical qualifications to undertake the full install. So you don’t have to pay extra for the electrical works to be completed. Our online store has a complete range of systems for sale from portable air conditioning units that cool only; to portable heat pump systems which are particularly suited to year round applications such as holiday homes. We don't sell cheap unknown models so all of our portable units are either A or B rated for energy efficiency and of extremely good build quality. We have a full range of fixed air conditioning units on sale from companies such as Fujitsu and Mitsubishi. Again we have established long term relationships with these companies and have found their products stand the test of time with regard to quality and reliability. Another important factor for choosing these companies is they have an excellent u.k support network from spares to technical support. Virtually all of our installed models are heat pump systems with the ability to cool in the summer and heat in the winter. Air source heat pumps are extremely energy efficient with energy efficiency ratings on most models between 3 and 5 times the input power, with the present trend in energy prices most A/C heat pump systems are therefore cheaper to run than even the most efficient combi boiler systems in heating mode. You might think how can you get more power out than you put in. Heat pumps basically manipulate the properties of refrigerant to either absorb heat from the surrounding air and then give the absorbed heat into the room (heating mode) or reverse the cycle absorbing heat from the room and then releasing the absorbed heat to the outside at the condenser unit. These systems have the ability to extract heat out of the air down to outside temperatures of -15*c making them a year round choice for your cooling and heating needs. One of our most popular systems you can find on our special offers page - The Mitsubishi SRK HG series. These systems come in 9000 & 12000 Btu outputs with an “A” rating energy efficiency. These units are extremely popular for applications such as bedrooms and conservatories, particularly for bedrooms they feature a quiet mode setting which enables the system to run at a very low fan speed but still maintain the desired set temperature. Again with conservatories it enables you to enjoy your extra living space virtually all year round. Let’s give you a scenario it’s a lovely clear frosty morning so why not breakfast in your conservatory, switch the system on in heating mode come back in 5 minutes and the room is lovely and warm. Please take a look through the different categories listed in our residential section, this gives you a good insight into the different outdoor and indoor air conditioning units available. In all systems there will be an outside condenser unit this might run one indoor unit or several indoor units if it's a mutli output unit. All of these units work on the same principal but there are different styles for different applications, such as high wall mounted, ducted, low wall mounted, cassette etc. We do however sell one system that is quite unique the Unico Olimpia Splendid all in one system. Basically the indoor and outdoor unit is sited together in the indoor unit with two 162mm outlet grills connected to the outside, with air drawn in and expelled via these grills. These particular units are proving very popular where planning permission is hard to obtain for an outside condenser unit or where a building might have listed status. Heat pump systems are rapidly becoming the preferred choice for cooling and heating commercial premises; with their low running costs and flexibility in operation outweighing many other types of systems. As with residential applications many styles are available to suit particular premises needs, from wall mounted systems commonly seen in premises such as doctor’s surgeries and veterinary practices, to cassette styles and ducted systems found in various types of offices and restaurants. Most of the "A" rated energy systems we sell and install in commercial premises qualify for enhanced tax concessions due to their efficiency in heating mode which can be off set against capitol gains tax. We fit a wide range of A/C systems to many types of businesses and houses. Our recent installations page gives you a snap shot of the types of installations we undertake we hope this gives you an idea of the possibilities available for installation, with no two jobs the same one thing you can be certain of is that our attention to detail will be second to none; as our many satisfied customers will hopefully agree. |
