Air source heat pumps are extremely energy efficient with energy efficiency ratings on most models between 3 and 5 times the input power, with the present trend in energy prices most air conditioning heat pump systems are therefore cheaper to run than even the most efficient combi boiler systems in heating mode. You might think how can you get more power out than you put in. Heat pumps basically manipulate the properties of refrigerant to either absorb heat from the surrounding air and then give the absorbed heat into the room (heating mode) or reverse the cycle absorbing heat from the room and then releasing the absorbed heat to the outside at the condenser unit. These systems have the ability to extract heat out of the air down to outside temperatures of -15*c making them a year round choice for your cooling and heating needs.

Again with conservatories it enables you to enjoy your extra living space virtually all year round.
